Many thanks for all your hard work and support you gave Shannen during 2015.
Shannen had major concentration problems at school and with dyslexia running in the family, we were extremely concerned.
At the end of 2014 her grade 3 teacher wanted to keep her back, as she thought that Shannen would not cope with all the workload in grade 4. We were presented with a list of remedial schools which they recommended for her. We informed her teacher that we will enrol her for extra lessons etc. and were not willing to accept that she must be kept back.
Looking at Shannen’s end results for 2015, we know that enrolling her for Edublox classes definitely helped a lot.
Shannen did very well. She came first for Afrikaans and was the only grade 4 to receive a gold certificate.
She also received extra lessons for Maths through another organization on Saturdays, and I believe that her Edublox lesson assisted her in achieving better results. She obtained 62% for a maths assessment done in Oct/Nov 2015, compared to her third term mark which was 47%.
