Letter and Number Reversals No Longer a Problem

USA flagSusan,

Just wanted to update you on our progress with Audiblox.

I am using Audiblox with my 10 year old daughter (dyslexia/dysgraphia–Her problems are mostly spelling, handwriting, math and basic organization skills); my 7 yr old son (developmental delays, speech/language delays–very intelligent! Struggles most with language) and my 4 yr old son (no problems here! Just hoping to get a jump with preschool Audiblox!).

We began using Audiblox in September 2001. At that time, my daughter was really struggling with number and letter reversals. I am so happy to report that this is no longer a problem! Her reading has improved greatly. She was assessed recently at the 5th grade, 2nd month level overall. She scored 4th grade, third month in both spelling and math. She is still struggling with handwriting and spelling. She spells phonetically. Her problem with math is the inability to memorize her basic facts. I have faith that Audiblox will help out in these areas.

My 7 yr old was tested at the age of 5 and was diagnosed with the developmental and speech/lang. delays. He was at the level of a 28 month old. I have seen much improvement over the past 2 years, but even more so since we began using Audiblox. He was assessed recently and scored 1st grade 8th month all around! He still struggles with language, but we are working on that with Audiblox and the chapter in RTR on language problems.

My 4 yr old just loves using “the blocks”! His favorite part is crumpling the paper. The activity he loves the most is crayons and coloring books. I have seen a great improvement in his abilities and hear comments from church workers, etc. on how well he stays in the lines and draws freehand since using Audiblox.

We are using the program for about 45 min for the 2 older children (15 min for the 4 yr old) 4 days a week.

Well, nothing but praise here for Audiblox! I’m looking forward to moving on with the program and seeing more improvements in 2002!

Thanks so very much,
