Daily we play with Audiblox
for my memory I need to unblock
My mom teaches me with them everyday
“You will be reading soon my darling,” she will say
I build the blocks neatly, ten in a row
up to 20 or 30 sometimes I will go
Nineteen words I read by the end of the week
My mom is so amazed she can barely speak
“I can read, I can read” I screamed out loud
I’m ecstatic with excitement I’m on top of the clouds
Mom nods and says “you see I knew you would”
even though sometimes she wasn’t sure I could
The tears ran down my mother’s cheeks
I don’t know why she would want to weep
I suppose you give up hope as years go by
perhaps that’s why she wants to cry
My hopes and dreams now will come true
there’s nothing with hard work I will not be able to do
I’m on my knees and to the Lord I pray
and thank Him for Audiblox each and every day
