There Is Hope, Even When You Think There Is Not

Ruzae is a very humble, caring, and disciplined child. She loves interacting with other kids and is always willing to help where she can. Ruzae’s academic performance, however, was not up to standard. As her mom, I tried teaching her at home after work but soon realised that whatever I taught her was not sinking in.

Ruzae’s Dad and I took her to a psychologist to find a solution to her lack of school interest. The psychologist’s report showed that Ruzae lacks self-confidence.

We got a teacher twice a week who helped Ruzae with reading, and she made a big difference. But she also felt that Ruzae needed extra help and referred us to Edublox. At that stage, my daughter was afraid to read to me. She would literally cry before even attempting to read.

Ruzae started attending classes at Edublox in October 2021 and we quickly realised that we had waited too long to enrol her. We could pick up the difference in self-confidence by December 2021, but unfortunately, she still had to repeat grade 3.

It’s a year later, and now Ruzae has so much confidence. Her results are excellent, and her report was such a pleasure to collect. I am so grateful to God and Edublox for making that difference. As Ruzae’s parents, we would like to take this opportunity to tell other parents that there is hope, even when you think there is not. Edublox brought a smile to our faces as parents and, I believe, a brighter smile to Ruzae.

Our only problem at home now is that our messages are no longer private.
