Machuene Now Confident with Reading and Writing, and Grows in Self-Belief

In 2019, Machuene struggled so much in grade 1 at a mainstream school that we decided he should repeat the grade. We hoped this would allow him to get the basics of reading and writing in place. At the end of 2020, he progressed to grade 2, although he still struggled with the basics.

Seeing his results not improving and his confidence decreasing, after regular interaction with his teacher, we decided to seek the help of an educational therapist. This was when we were referred to Edublox. When we pulled him out of mainstream schooling in the middle of 2021 and enrolled in the EASY program at Edublox Polokwane, he could not read or write, and he hated school.

Fast forward to October 2022, we are delighted to see how confident Machuene is with his reading and writing and his ever-growing self-belief. He continues to grow emotionally, and we believe he can achieve whatever he sets his mind to. We really want to thank the dedicated tutors at Edublox, as the emotional toll we had of seeing our kid struggle and feeling helpless has surely been lifted.

As parents, we must get actively involved in our children’s education, accept the reality of their struggles, and seek help for them. After all, the satisfaction we derive from seeing our youngest son’s growth is so rewarding.
