In 2020 Divine was ready to start his primary school years. Like any other parent, I was excited about him starting school. During his Grade 1 year, the teacher told me he was experiencing reading and spelling difficulties.
After a while, I began to notice these problems myself. Divine spent more than 4 minutes trying to read a sentence, and he was really struggling with spelling. We knew something had to be done. I was aware of Edublox as I had enrolled two other kids previously and thought it might help him too. We saw our other kids’ progress and trusted Edublox to help Divine with his difficulties.
In Grade 2, Divine continued with the program, and we started to see progress. He spent less time trying to read a sentence, could pronounce words excellently, and we noticed his confidence increasing. His teachers were also very impressed with his improvement as he could concentrate better in class.
At the moment, Divine is 8 years old and in Grade 3. His reading speed has increased, his memory has improved and his concentration too. He got the confidence to sign up for the Poetry English Drama Eisteddfod and had to do his poem in front of judges without reading anything. He did exceptionally well and got Double Gold!
My advice to others parents is: don’t hesitate or be frustrated about the difficulties your child may experience. Enrol them with Edublox, and you will see a difference.
